Crematorium in Eastern Suburbs Sydney & Matraville
Crematorium in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney
At Funera we provide cremation in the Eastern Suburbs, at the Eastern Suburbs Crematorium in Matraville.
Cremation is a way of preparing the dead for burial or memory in a way that turns the body to ashes. Choosing what happens to the body of the deceased is a personal choice, often based on feelings, religious or philosophical beliefs. Many families chose to cremate their lost loved ones because of their environmental beliefs, while others do this because of affordability or to make the process simpler. However, a cremation does not have to replace a funeral service or a personally held ceremony to say goodbye. Our funeral directors at Funera can work with you to put together a close and personal service to honour the loved one you have lost.
Packaged Services at the Eastern Suburbs Crematorium in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs -
At Funera, we want to make the process of planning and deciding where and how to lay your deceased to rest simpler. We have put together three packages at our crematorium to help families cover the essentials no matter what ways they wish to honour and remember the life of their deceased. Direct cremation – A direct cremation doesn’t include a viewing or traditional attending funeral service, but it looks after cremating the remains of your loved one. We also look after the transfer, mortuary care as well as assist you through the registration of death to attain a death certificate. Although simple, it doesn’t mean that the way you honour your loved one is any less special. Many families take comfort in organising their own personal service to scatter the ashes in somewhere beautiful, or just in holding a wake with all the ones that were close to your loved one in life.Viewing service – In a viewing service, our funeral directors arrange for an opportunity for all the family and friends of your deceased to see the body to say their final words. As part of this package, there is no celebrant or clergy. Although we can provide flowers at an additional cost. You may also wish to be present to witness the coffin as it gets inserted into the cremator. Funeral service – An attending cremation funeral service is not too much different from a traditional funeral burial. We look after the service as well as the cremation at the Eastern Suburbs crematorium in Matraville, with a celebrant or a clergy. If you require any assistance with anything particular you want at the service, don’t fret to ask us your funeral director.
After Cremation
At the end of the cremation, the ash remains of the body will be available to you for collection. You may want to keep them close to you in an urn in your house. We can assist you in finding a suitable urn.
There are also other objects that we have seen families in the past use to hold the ashes, like specialised pendant jewellery or into a home garden. You may also choose to scatter the ashes of your loved one in a place of beauty or significance in their life. Many people find comfort in holding a secluded ceremony with close knitted individuals here to pay remembrance to commemorate their life. Crematoriums and memorial gardens across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs also hold places where you commit the ashes of your loved one, with beautiful and private areas that you can return again to remember them.
If there is anything that you desire more clarity about to understand and evaluate your options, our staff at Funera are compassionate and always ready to help.
